Cams are all black
If only certain cams you are viewing are black, the person may be blocking their camera lens.
If you see all viewed webcams as black, please follow these steps:
Make sure your operating system is up to date (MacOS, Windows, Android, iOS/IPadOS, ChromeBook).
Disable any low power mode:
iOS/IpadOS: Go to Settings > Battery and turn off Low Power Mode.
Android typically use: Settings > Battery > Power Saving Mode.
Windows 10/11: Settings > System > Power & battery (or Energy Saver) and toggle it off
Ensure you have enough storage space:
Android:
Open Settings.
Tap Storage (or "Device care" > "Storage" on Samsung).
View the breakdown of available and used space.
Alternative: Open the Files by Google app and tap Menu > Clean to see storage.
iPhone/iPad (iOS)
Go to Settings.
Tap General.
Tap iPhone/iPad Storage.
A bar graph will show used/free space, with recommendations for freeing up space.
Windows:
Open Settings.
Go to System > Storage.
View storage details for the local drive (C:), including apps, documents, and temp files.
Alternative: Open File Explorer, click "This PC" to see drive capacity.
Mac:
Click the Apple menu
Select System Settings (or "About This Mac" on older versions).
Click General > Storage (or simply "Storage" in older versions).
