What are push notifications?

Enabling site notifications/push notifications will allow you to receive a browser push notification when a new mention, whisper or private message is sent to you, and you are offline. You will not receive these notifications if you are actively in chat.

Google Chrome

To Reset All Permissions: Navigate to Settings > Reset settings > Restore settings to their original defaults and click Reset settings. This will disable all extensions and reset temporary data like notification permissions.

To Manage Specific Sites: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Notifications. Under "Allowed to send notifications," click the three dots next to a site and select Remove or Block.

Mobile (Android): Open Chrome, tap the three dots > Settings > Site settings > Notifications. You can toggle the main switch off or select a site and tap Clear & reset.

Mozilla Firefox

Reset Specific Sites: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security. Scroll to the Permissions section and click Settings... next to Notifications. You can select a site and click Remove Website or click Remove All Websites to clear the entire list.

Stop Future Requests: In the same menu, check the box for Block new requests asking to allow notifications.

Microsoft Edge

Manage Permissions: Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Notifications. You can remove sites individually by clicking the three dots next to them and selecting Remove.

Global Reset: Turning off "Ask before sending" will stop new sites from prompting you for notification access.

Apple Safari

Desktop (macOS): Click Safari in the menu bar > Settings (or Preferences) > Websites tab > Notifications. Select the websites you want to change and click Remove.

Stop Prompts: Uncheck the box "Allow websites to ask for permission to send push notifications" at the bottom of the same window.

Opera

Manage Notifications: Navigate to Settings > Privacy & security > Site settings > Notifications. Remove sites from the "Allowed" list by clicking the three dots and choosing Remove.
