To check your cam, make sure you have enabled your webcam by toggling it on, on the top right of the site. Once your webcam is enabled, you should be able to see your own camera view, just above the chat room.
Above each cam you are viewing is a small speaker icon. Click your mouse (or tap, on a tablet/phone) on the icon you are viewing, select that to lower the volume, at the very bottom it will be muted.

When you enable your webcam, select the “Private” selection.Then, you decide who can view your cam. Users may click on it to request to view it (you can accept or decline).
